Players have wished for a GTA V single-player DLC, but now all the hope is gone. In an interview with Gameinformer Rockstar said they would not release a single-player DLC and told them the reason. Rockstar’s director of design ( Imran Sarwar) said Rockstar didn’t plan to have GTA move away from single-player, but it did. He added that doesn’t mean Rockstar will not make any single-player DLC for future games. He said Rockstar loves single-player. He says GTA V’s single player was huge and it was “3 games in one.” He said the Xbox One, PS 4, and PC version took a year to make and after that, the online portion of the game had become very popular, and it used a lot of Rockstar resources.
GTA V didn’t get single-player DLC because Rockstar spent a very long time to make the game for the 360 and PS 3, and it took one year to make the game for next gen. It used a lot of resources, and Rockstar had to move on to other games such as Red Dead Redemption 2. Online mode makes a lot of money, and it doesn’t take a lot of resources and time to make a new adversary mode for GTA Online. A story DLC will take a long time to make, and it will require a lot of resources and money.

GTA V was released on September 17, 2013, for the Xbox 360 and PS 3. GTA Online was released on October 1, 2013. GTA Online is four years and six days old, but Rockstar is still releasing new and free content. The offline part of the game hasn’t been updated that much, but the online version has been getting some good updates. GTA Online is always in Steam top 10 played games. It’s doing very well for a game that’s four years old.
After 24 hours GTA V sold more than 800 million dollars worldwide, and it is still pushing Tak-Twos stocks higher. At May Take-Two told investors GTA had sold 80+ million copies, and that number is growing fast.
