7nm AMD Navi to Deliver RTX 2070 Performance for Half the Price (Rumors)

Can AMD Navi beat Nvidia RTX

Right now, Nvidia controls most of the gaming market. AMD GPUs don’t really compete with Nvidia in the mid-end and low-end gaming market. In the high-end gaming market the Radeon VII was recently announced to compete with the RTX 2080 but, the benchmarks are a bit disappointing. Although Vega 7 has been disappointing, AMD Navi might be able to revolutionize the gaming market and finally create some healthy competition.

AMD Navi Latest Leaks

The latest leaks suggest that AMD Navi is going to pack some heat. According to the latest rumors, AMD is going to release the lower-end Navi cards, the RX 3060 and RX 3070 in 2019 while the RX 3080 is going to be released in 2020. The RX 3060 and RX 3070 are supposedly going to cost you $129 and $199 while the RX 3080 is going to cost you $250. The AMD RX 3060 is going to perform like the RX 580, the RX 3070 is going to perform like Vega 56, and the RX 3080 is going to perform like the RTX 2070.

You should definitely be excited for AMD Navi. Right now, it’s not exactly clear what AMD is going to be doing with Navi. Perhaps they are going to release the RTX 3060 and RX 3070 with their Zen 2 CPU series in the middle of 2019. AMD could also release the lower-end Vega 7 cards this year but release all of the Navi cards in 2020.

If they release Navi in 2019, Nvidia wouldn’t stand much of a chance. If the RX 3080 is able to perform like the RTX 2070 at half the price, Nvidia will have to release new GPUs to compete with AMD. We already know that Nvidia is working on GTX Turning based GPUs which are supposedly going to be released sometime in 2019. The GTX 11 series GPUs can be the video cards to compete with AMD Navi.
