Nvidia GTX 1180 | RTX 2080 Performance for a Low Price?

GTX 1180 Benchmarks Have Been Spotted

Nvidia’s latest GPU series has been somewhat disappointing to gamers. RTX is highly overpriced and doesn’t perform that well when you consider the high prices. Gamers certainly don’t like the fact that the cheapest RTX GPU will cost you $350. This is supposed to be a budget card but, xx60 cards usualy cost $250-$300. Considering the fact that the RTX 2060 plays 1080p games at ultra 60 FPS but, still costs the similarly to xx70 series cards which are supposed to be able to run games at 1440p. According to the latest rumors, Nvidia is going to release Turning based GTX GPUs soon.

Nvidia GTX 1180 Benchmarks Spotted

Thanks to Videocardz, we have supposed GTX 1180 benchmarks. The benchmarking software, GFXBench identifies the Nvidia GTX 1180 as the RTX 2080 which shows that it is going to be a Turning based GPU. In the benchmarks, we can clearly see that the GTX 1180 performs really similar to the RTX 2080. Thanks to the lack of Ray Tracing cores, the GTX 1180 will cost less than the Nvidia RTX 2080 but, the GTX 1180 will still perform like the RTX 2080.

RTX benchmarks

Remember, there is a chance that these benchmarks are fake so you shouldn’t count on it too much.

Is The GTX 1180 Even Happening?

Thanlks to some credible rumors, we already knew that Nvidia is working on GTX 1660TI GPUs. The GTX 1660TI was confirmed to be happening by two of Videocardz sources. Videocardz is very credible so expect to see the GTX 1660TI really soon. If the GTX 1660TI is happening, there is a high chance that the GTX 1180 could happen. If the GTX 1180 does happen, it could easily destroy the competition. If we are able to get RTX 2080 performance from a $600 GPU, AMD wouldn’t stand much of a chance against Nvidia.
