Lenovo is introducing a headset that doesn’t require external power, based on Google’s Daydream platform, no need for video signals and paired with a VR camera with 3D VR ready photo and video capture. The Mirage Camera is expected early in the second quarter of 2018 with a retail price of ‘under $300.’

The Mirage Solo with Daydream is a standalone VR headset is the first standalone headset to use Google’s Daydream platform for it vr Environment and the Mirage Solo utilizes the WorldSense motion tracking technology to allow leaning, dodging, and ducking actions. The Mirage Camera is a dual-lens camera video or images can be wirelessly uploaded to Google Photos or YouTube or used locally, e.g., via WiFi Direct to pair to a smartphone.
