NVIDIA New Big Format Gaming Displays (BFGD) For PC Gaming Screens At CES
“BFGDs” Integrate NVIDIA G-SYNC and SHIELD to Deliver what Nvidia calls it the World’s First Giant Screen PC Gaming Experience
With NVIDIA’s new big format gaming displays, or BFGDs introduced at CES 2018, Created in conjunction with NVIDIA hardware partners Acer, ASUS and HP, BFGDs integrate a high-end 65-inch, 4K 120Hz HDR display with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology together with NVIDIA SHIELD. It is expected to bring smooth gaming experience and feature media streaming applications as well.
“PC gamers expect high performance and instant response times, but, until now, they’ve been largely limited to traditional desktop displays,” said Matt Wuebbling, head of GeForce marketing at NVIDIA.
“BFGDs change that. With NVIDIA’s latest technology built into these new displays, PC gamers can now experience their favorite titles in all the low-latency glory they deserve.”
Nvidia Ultra-Low Latency Gaming: Responsive gameplay, yes gamers care about that. G-SYNC technology that brings the ultra-low latency found in G-SYNC nvidia based desktop gaming monitors to the BFGD when gaming directly on the PC, Android, another console or using NVIDIA GameStream technology from a desktop or laptop gaming PC.
Streaming features: The integration of the Android TV based SHIELD will be injected into BFGDs to allow gamers to easily switch between gaming and streaming as nvidia says. The bundled SHIELD remote and game controller allow for easy navigation and access to all of the world’s biggest streaming apps such as Netflix, Amazon Video, YouTube and Hulu.
Availability and Pricing: BFGDs are available for demos at CES-NVIDIA gaming suite + ASUS ROG CES room + HP booth at the Pepcom + Showstoppers press events on Monday and Tuesday evening, respectively. Retails availability is expected to be this summer when details on pricing and specifications will be announced.
