GameStop: 2018 will be a good year for the Switch big unannounced games coming 

It seems like the Nintendo Switch is going to receive big games in 2018

The Nintendo Switch had a very good year in 2017 selling 1.5 million units in December alone and becoming the fastest selling game console of all time in the US. The Nintendo Switch software helped all of the success with Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey getting near perfect scores from all reviewers. The Nintendo Switch got two great games in 2017 and many great first party and third-party games. The Nintendo Switch got a great flow of games throughout 2017 and it seems like the flow is going to continue through 2018.

According to GameStop‘s CEO Michael Mauler there are many great unannounced Nintendo Switch games that are going to be released in 2018.

In a financial call, Mauler said, “I think this year when we look at the slate of titles, many of which haven’t been announced yet, this year looks also very, very strong. So I think, at least, for 2018, we’ll continue to see the strong software slate drive additional installed base on the hardware and increase attach rate. We don’t have really visibility for 2019 yet, but for 2018 it should play out that way.” 

It seems like Nintendo Switch owners are going to get many new games in 2017. Right now we haven’t gotten a very big game in 2018 for the Nintendo Switch. Super Smash Bros. is a big game but it’s not as big as something like Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey especially considering that the Super Smash Bros Nintendo Switch is essentially a port from the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. 

There is a big chance that we are going to see a Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch. Pokemon is a big game and fans have been waiting for the game on the Nintendo Switch for a long time. We could also see Animal Crossing Switch or new third-party games for the Switch perhaps GTA V. GTA V is able to run on the PS 3 and Xbox 360 so it will be able to easily run on the Switch.
