AMD has dominated the gaming consoles | XBOX + PS + SUbor Z+ + Atari + SMACH Z & Future PS5 + XBOX Scarlet, Scarlet cloud
The next generation of AMD powered gaming consoles are to be using Zen platform and Navi/Vega APUs
AMD dominates gaming console world and it is so obvious. Now with its design of custom graphics/processors made by vega or future navi, AMD systems are not only powering some of the top sellers like xbox one, but also AMD GPUs are now set to power the Xbox and PS future models as well as the current pro and entry-level models, the Nintendo and the Atari. Now as the new step in keeping the market to itself, AMD has announced recently that it is rolling out new console designed APU with an AMD Zen chip with Vega graphics for a Chinese company SUbor Z+. And that is while some leaks are pointing to AMD as the future chip-maker of PS5, Xbox scarlet and the cloud version Scarlet cloud and of course the SMACH Z powerful specs were on the news last week. maybe the only Console not made by AMD is the Nintendo latest version that was powered by Nvidia and arm processor.
What we know now about Playstation 5 and its AMD Specs (PS5):
Q4 2020 is the most possible time for PS5 to come out and be ready to play. Sony releasing the PS5 outside of this Q4 window would be a big surprise, looking at the history of PS release dates. News that suggests sales of the PS4 are slowing does indicate that Sony might want to move slightly faster than we think to introduce the PS5. If Sony uses the APU AMD architecture that are mentioned in the reports in the PS5 (which is likely), there’s a decent chance that the machine will offer backwards compatibility with the PS4. As for offering the ability for the PS5 to play PS3 and older games.
AMD + Microsoft for Future of XBOX
The two companies are working together on envisioning a future of cloud gaming consoles to rely on cloud-based GPUs to process complex graphics. In a recent CNBC interview, AMD CEO Lisa Su unveiled that the red team is closely collaborating with Microsoft on a future cloud gaming console. This comes as a confirmation for previous rumors regarding an upcoming “Scarlett” Xbox console that could have two versions: the standard compact box model and a more lightweight version connected to a cloud gaming service.
The strong Subor Z+’s AMD Ryzen+Vega SoC, is reported to be much more powerful than Intel ‘Kaby Lake-G’ Core i7-8809G
Jack Huynh, corporate vice president and general manager of AMD’s semi-custom business, said a wile ago in a post that AMD will make a system-on-chip that combines the processing power of its Ryzen microprocessors with Radeon graphics in a single chip. That semi-custom chip will be the brains of the new PC and console.
The new Zen-based system-on-a-chip that includes 3.0GHz quad-core CPU supported by 24 Vega compute units running at 1.3GHz. The chip also includes a 256-bit GDDR5 with 8GB of GDDR5 video memory built onto its supporting motherboard. This chip’s closest computer level hardware could be AMD Ryzen 7 2700U mobile APU. While the 2700U runs at a faster clocks, but features 14 fewer compute units attached to its Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics. This new chip is made for Zhongshan Subor, a Chinese electronics firm, to develop a new gaming PC and console for the Chinese market. Seeing AMD Vega graphics in a console makes us wonder about what this could mean for the PS5 and Xbox Two. Zhongshan Subor’s machine will be powered by a four-core, eight-thread Ryzen CPU running at 3 gigahertz with AMD Radeon Vega graphics with 24 units running at 1.3 gigahertz, and it is a fairl strong system comparing current consoles.
