Augmented reality utilizes a real world environment. This allows for them to control the presence of the real world, enhancing both the virtual and real world. Moreover, did you know that AR does not require a headset? Therefore, AR can be accessed through smart phones. For example, Pokémon Go utilizes AR. This feature is shown when users are searching for Pokémon, an animated character, through their phone by venturing into their neighborhood and environment.

Virtual Reality

In comparison, virtual reality is only virtual. This means VR users are controlled by their presence in the real world. Moreover, VR can only be accessed through a headset. For example, Oculus utilizes VR. This feature is shown where the internal camera tracks the movement of the head and body and displays them in VR.
