PUBG dev announces new game
The new game is very different then PUBG
Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is the most popular game on Steam, and it has been very successful. According to Steam Spy, the peak amount of players that played PUBG is 2,533,199 players. Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds isn’t even close to being released, but it has already reached and passed huge triple-A games. Today Bluehole announced their new game is called Ascent: Infinite Realm. Bluehole’s new game will be a steampunk MMO RPG. Kakao Games is making the game, Bluehole will publish it.
Bluehole says Infinite Air is a “groundbreaking” MMO. Infinite Air will mix steampunk and high-fantasy, the game will have five classes. The classes are Warlord, Sorceress, Gunslinger, Assassin, and Mystic. The Sorceress commands an “arsenal of elemental magic.” The Sorcerer doesn’t have the full defense that the other classes have, but she can kill other players from far away. Mystic uses the power of nature. Mystic can heal her teammates while attacking players from far away. She has low damage and defense, but her utility is max. WarLord has medium attack power, 3/5 utility, full defense, 2/5 range, 3/5 critical hit, and 2/5 attack speed. The Assassin class has full attack speed and critical hit, but she has a really bad attack range and average power/defense. The Gunslinger class is the only class that uses a gun. Gunslinger class has 4/5 attack power, 2/5 utility, 3/5 defense, full range, 3/5 critical hit, and 3/5 attack speed.
A beta for AIR will launch in the first half of 2018. Sign up for our newsletter for more info on that. This doesn’t mean Bluehole isn’t going to focus on PUBG anymore. A few weeks ago Bluehole created a sub company called PUBG.Corp, PUBG.corp is in charge of Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, not Bluehole. Brendon Greene (PUBG’s creator) has said that they plan to make new content for Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds for at least ten more years.
