A Dedicated Team at Ubisoft is Working on the PC Version of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Although sometimes Ubisoft makes bad games, most of the time they are good ports on the PC. Whenever a developer announces a game for the consoles and the PC, one of the first things that the PC gamers ask is if it is going to be a good port or is it going to run really poorly like Batman Arkham Knight. Well, it seems like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is going to be a good port. Ubisoft says that a dedicated team is working on the PC version of the game.

Ubisoft wrote in their blog, “As was already the case for Assassin’s Creed Origins, the PC version is not a port of the console versions of the game, but a tailored experience developed by a dedicated team at Ubisoft Kiev in close collaboration with Ubisoft Québec, the lead studio on Odyssey. Having a dedicated team on the PC version allows us to offer the level of customization that PC players expect, which will enable them to adapt the experience to their PC configuration. The PC version of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will also include unique features not found in the console versions, such as benchmark tools to test the different graphics settings, and a toggle option for dynamic resolution rendering to uncap the framerate.” 

This is good news for PC gamers as this means Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is going to be an excellent port. Ubisoft also revealed the system requirements for the game, and it is clear that a dedicated team is working on the PC version of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. 

According to Ubisoft, with a system that has the Ryzen 5 – 1400, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970, and 8 GB of RAM gamers are going to be able to run Assassin’s Creed Odyssey at 1080p, high settings, 30 FPS.  Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a good looking game, Ubisoft has done an excellent job on optimization.

According to the latest RTX 2080 benchmarks and Ubisoft’s system requirements, gamers are going to be able to play AC Odyssey at 4k, high settings, and at least 45 FPS by using the RTX 2080.
