Amazon Alexa is set to be seen soon in PCs. It is scheduled to happen exclusively in the US Windows 10 PCs by Acer, HP, and Lenovo soppurting the features of Echo devices.

Alexa rival, Cortana is already on the win 10 pcs. And you may think Cortana and Alexa could begin to work together for you in an integrated version of them. But the latest news on Alexa has nothing to do with being integrated with Microsoft’s virtual assistant Cortana. Amazon’s Alexa reaching out to windows 10 to expand it availability for users by becoming part of Windows 10 PCs.

Earlier ZDNet editor Mary Jo Foley posted the following message on Twitter: “Sign up for more info about Alexa for select Win 10 PC models: https://www.amazon.com/b?node=17549366011 … The app will be available in Q1, U.S. only for now.”

According to the Amazon page above, Alexa will come to the Windows platform by the end of 2018 first quarter. Although it seems that ASUS has been left aside in some of the info pages about this new change in alexa plans but it is also possible that its portables will get Alexa at a later time. Alexa will work on Windows 10 PCs by using your laptop or tablet speaker and devices to bring you your echo experience. The PC version of Alexa will also lack support for Spotify, Pandora, and TuneIn, but we think this will also be a temporary limitation.
