Apple Homepod, Google Home, Amazon Alexa All Want To Be Your Smart Ear

Apple is set to launch its Siri-powered HomePod very soon after it is now received FCC certification. The HomePod is of course joining a very competitive market where Apple is becoming the new rival for google home (in three versions ) and Amazon’s Alexa based speakers (three versions).

While Google is offering the starting smart speaker at $49 Google Home Mini and then the $399 Google Home Max. Google’s Mini and Max give potential customers entry and premium level. And also the older google home with 140$ is covering the whole price range with three options at three levels. Amazon‘s $50 Echo Dot and Google’s cute Home Mini are both enough cheap to make it customers buy them with least pressure. The Max though is huge in price and basically a deal breaker for many users that care about more economic options.

$399 is a lot to spend on a single smart speaker for many people, especially the rivals, $349 Apple HomePod and the $150 Amazon Echo Plus are delivering almost the same things Max does.  The Google Home Max has two woofers and two tweeters, compared to the HomePod and the Echo Plus (both of which have just one each). Max has more ports, USB-C and a 3.5-millimeter audio jack. Amazon’s Echo Plus, as a smart home hub, supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ZigBee. The Max has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and Apple’s HomePod only has Wi-Fi. The Google Assistant have got plenty of upgrades that were announced at the Pixel event, now many belive that it is an advantage compared to Siri. Both Google and Amazon home devices now can extend routines, performing several actions at the behest of a single prompt. But Apple’s Siri still doesn’t have that continues functionality and in app functions in details and you have to ask Siri to do one thing at a time, and one by one.

The HomePod is differentiated largely by its emphasis on sound quality and featuring Apple’s custom A8 ARM-based silicon to give it some genuine on-board brain. The HomePod uses an algorithm that continuously analyzes the music and then dynamically tunes the speaker output in response. The HomePod is Priced at a steep $349, it will want to sound amazing for a tiny 6-inch tall device. Expect it for next month, or March at the very latest if it is to meet Apple’s launching “early 2018” promise.
