Amazon VS YouTube, A possible Rival For Online Free Video Sharing
Amazon seems to be aiming now at Google’s YouTube, since the online commerce giant already registered a few URLs such as AmazonOpenTube.com and is not all. Amazon has also made trademark requests with the US Patent and Trademark Office. The competition between Amazon and Google now more than ever seems to be moving to a whole new level, according to the findings. They suggest that amazon is working on a competitor for YouTube video sharing. When Google pulled out YouTube from the Amazon Echo Show, and then Amazon refused to sell Chromecast the fight heated up.
The new documents filed by Amazon with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) say that the service will offer “non-downloadable pre-recorded audio, visual and audiovisual works via wireless networks”. And it will be known as AmazonTube, OpenTube, or aname and brand combined or consisting of these names. Amazon has also registered the following domain names too: AlexaOpenTube.com, AmazonOpenTube.com, and AmazonAlexaTube.com.
Due to Google’s ever-changing policies in youtube, advertizing and publishing, Amazon just needs to compensate users more to lure at least some of them away. Obviously, drawing the attention of enough YouTube users to set things in motion will be even more difficult. You tube right now is the 2nd website in web in terms of website trafic and alexa ranking and one of the most popular social medias and the most popular video sharing website. Facebook video section has ofcourse got to a very great success as well but Youtube have been known as the main Video sharing platform for the last 5 years.
