AMD Navi 7nm GPU Latest Leaks | Release Date, Specs, Price

Navi to be Announced at Computex 2019

AMD Navi

Right now Nvidia controls most of the GPU market thanks to their superior performance in the mid-end and high-end gaming market over AMD but, that may soon change thanks to AMD’s next-gen 7nm GPU series, Navi.

AMD Navi Release Date

Thanks to the latest rumors, we know that AMD Navi may be released on July 7th. According to a new report, AMD is going to launch their next-gen 7nm CPUs Zen 2, 7nm GPUs Navi, and X570  on July 7th or 7/7/19. The 7/7 release date is supposedly a marketing ploy as they are going to release both 7nm CPUs and GPUs on that day. AMD did the same thing with the Radeon VII as it came out on the 7th of February the 7 symbolizing the Radeon VII’s 7nm architecture.

When is it Going to be Announced?

As of now, there aren’t any rumors about Navi’s release date but, many assume that it’s going to be announced at Computex 2019. AMD announced their 2nd-gen Ryzen Threadripper CPUs at Computex, therefore, a Computex 2019 announcement isn’t very farfetched.

AMD Navi Specs and Price

Although we don’t have anything official, rumors claim that AMD is going to release the lower-end Navi GPUs in 2019 while the higher-end cards are going to be released in 2020. If the rumors are accurate, the lower-end Navi cards RX 3060 and RX 3070 are going to be based on the Navi 12 while the higher-end card is going to be the RX 3080 which is going to be based on the Navi 10 architecture.

The rumors claim that the RX 3060 and RX 3070 are going to cost $129 and $200 while the RX 3080 will cost you $250. These prices seem unrealistic, AMD will probably do the same thing as Nvidia. The base prices are going to be the ones mentioned above but, the reference models will at least cost $100 more. The RX 3060 and RX 3070 are said to be able to perform like the RX 580 and Vega 56 while the RX 3080 is supposedly going to perform on par with the RTX 2070. If the rumored prices are real, Nvidia doesn’t really stand a chance.
