AMD Zen 2 to Blow Away the Competition | Specs, Benchmarks, Release Date (Rumors)
AMD Zen 2 to Bring 6 Core CPUs for $100

When AMD released Ryzen a few years back, Intel was forced to release their 6 core CPUs earlier than first scheduled to be able to compete with AMD Ryzen. When Intel’s 6 core CPUs came out, Intel quickly took over the gaming market but, it seems like when Zen 2 comes out it’ll take over the PC market.
AMD Zen 2 Leaked Benchmarks
AMD’s next-gen Zen 2 CPUs are rumored to be very powerful for the price. According to the latest rumors, AMD’s next-gen 7nm CPUs are going to be able to give users 6 core/12 thread CPUs for only $100.

One of the main problems with AMD Ryzen was the low single core performance. Although Intel CPUs featured fewer cores and fewer threads, they were still a better option then Ryzen for gaming due to higher core clocks but that doesn’t seem to be the case with Zen 2 as the $229 Ryzen 5 3600x is going to feature 8 cores/16 threads and a 4.8 GHz boost clock. This means that the Ryzen 5 3600x is going to do way better in games then last-gen Ryzen CPUs and, it’ll probably be able to outperform the more expensive Intel Core I7-8600k.
Zen 2 Official Benchmarks
Although AMD didn’t really mention Zen 2 at CES, they did give us Cinebench R15 scores for an 8 core/16 threads variant of Zen 2 which outperformed the $500 Intel Core I9-9900k. The AMD Zen 2 was able to score 2,057 on Cinebench R15 while the Core I9-9900k scored 17 fewer points. If the specs list above is real, the Ryzen 5 3600x or the Ryzen 5 3600 were able to outperform the Core I9-9900k which has an MSRP of $500 while the Ryzen 5 3600x only costs $229.
AMD Zen 2 Rumored Release Date
Unfortunately, all we know is that Zen 2 is going to be released sometime in 2019 but, the latest rumors claim that Zen 2 is going to be announced at Computex 2019 and released on July 7th or 7/7/19. Rumors claim that Zen 2 and AMD Navi both feature 7nm architecture hence AMD chose the 7/7 release date for marketing.
