Atari’s “AMD technology-based” is The classic Atari and is due spring 2018.

Amd RX tweeted and some other news reported that The new Atari that is the revive of the old classic version of Atari is going to be AMD based PC like and running on Linux. In last June, Atari announced that  “back in the hardware business” with the announcement of the Ataribox a “retro-styled PC tech-based console”. In one month Atari crowdfunded the project, and now we have some hard facts on cost too, and its $300.

Atari choose to go with indiegogo for the crowdfund raising:

“We’ve chosen to launch Ataribox with Indiegogo given their focus on delivering technology products, and their strong international presence in over 200 countries, allowing us to reach and involve as many Atari fans around the world as possible,” . “It’s a very flexible product, and you won’t need to spend more money if you don’t want to,” Mac said . he Also said, “In some ways, you are buying some freedom.”

Due to launch an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign “this fall” 2017, the Ataribox is expected in spring 2018. Atari has been one of the first Video game platforms ever and the come back in a totally new area and new technologies and gaming capabilities is going to be amazing.
