The Sony PlayStation 5 Might Feature Cloud Gaming for the First Time

Gamers are excited to see the next-gen consoles come out. According to the latest rumors, the Sony PlayStation 5 is going to feature an AMD Navi GPU and AMD Ryzen as its CPU. For the first time, this might make 4K gaming 60 FPS ultra possible on triple-A video games possible, and it’s on a $400 console. The PS 5 is expected to feature the Navi architecture, and it is going to be a 7nm process which is good news to fans of the PS 5. It wouldn’t be lacking on the CPU side either thanks to rumors about the PS 5 featuring AMD Ryzen CPUs. In recent years, cloud gaming has been getting more and more popular, and for the first time, a console might feature proper cloud gaming.

Will the PS 5 Feature Proper Cloud Gaming?

According to the latest rumors, Microsoft has been working on proper cloud gaming likely coming out with the next Xbox. CEO Lisa Su stated that AMD is now partnered with Microsoft “in game consoles,” and thinks the two companies “have a vision of where cloud computing is going.” With wifi speeds going up around the world, it would make sense for Sony to implement proper cloud gaming into their console. If not cloud gaming, it will at least feature PS Now. Thanks to PS Now, gamers can stream the latest game onto their PS 4 for a monthly subscription but the system is broken, so it doesn’t really get used by gamers. Sony is rumored to feature proper cloud gaming on the PS 5 and finally making cloud gaming mainstream.

When is the PS 5 Coming Out?

According to the latest rumors, the Sony PlayStation 5 is going to be released sometime in 2020. Of course, 2020 isn’t a set date and its just rumors, but there is a chance for it to happen as the PS 4 came out back in 2013.
