Minecraft becoming an eSports Thanks to Hypixel/bed wars esports ready

Minecraft might become a eSports in the near future

Minecraft has been around for years now. Since the game blew up it developed from a simple flat map where you can use a block to build structures to a massive game with millions of players and different things to do. Also, Microsoft bought Minecraft from Mojang back in November 2014 for 2.5 billion Dollars. Minecraft is available on pretty much every platform and because of that reason, Minecraft has made a lot of money for Microsoft. Since January 2017 Minecraft has sold 144 million copies with an average of 74 million active users. Minecraft is the second best selling game of all time above GTA V and below Tetris. The game has a massive audience and since you can make pretty much anything you want in the game it is perfect for eSports.

Hypixel’s official Twitter account Tweeted, “Love competitive Minecraft? Check out Minecraft City Champs from our friends at @SuperLeagueMC, a live tournament set across 16 US cities starting this Saturday where you can battle it out for fun and prizes!” A fan responded with Bed Wars eSports confirmed and Hypixel said, “Bed Wars is esports ready.” Super League brings the excitement associated with eSports to local players.
