New NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1180 GPU Expected Specs, Price & Release Date

GeForce GTX 1180 more powerful than Titan Xp or any other gaming GPU ever made

Just recently the long expected GTX 1180 specs were leaked online, but now, it is confirmed (not officially) and more details have been posted in the TechPowerUp (while some believe that they are not accurate) GPU database. It is going to be equipped with 12nm FinFET process, 3584 CUDA cores, 224 texture mapping units and 64 ROPs.

The data comes from an engineering version of the gpu and some specs could change in the final model coming probably in summer 2018, the listing’s appearance does suggest that the highly anticipated card could be here soon. While we get exited about the new GTX 1180 specs leaked or rumored, you should know all the details about a 12mn FinFET lithography, GDDR6 memory, and the GPU configuration may have been extrapolated from existing cards, guesswork.

Sticking with memory, we can see a bus width of 256-bit, with a 384 Gbps bandwidth. Compared to the existing 1080 Ti, this 256-bit memory interface and 384 Gbps bandwidth seem lesser than the Ti’s 384-bit bus and 484 Gbps bandwidth.

The GTX 1180 will apparently run with 3,584 CUDA cores, compared to the GTX 1080’s complement of 2,560. It boasts 224 TMUs (versus 160 Texture Mapping Units on the 1080) and is built on a 12nm process (as opposed to 16nm). you know the “Volta” generation with the Titan V enterprise card or tesla sub brand, but consumers will be looking for something more affordable and down to earth. Although it may debut under the “Turing” banner

GTX 1180 could launch as soon as July or August, and unveiling at Computex might not be out of the question. The price, we’re expecting somewhere between $699 and $799.
