Right now gamers are faced with a massive never seen before graphics cards shortage caused by crypto miners. The GPU shortage is happening because of miners and their need of a lot of GPU power. Since crypto ming blew up a bunch of people suddenly started to buy a lot of GPUs so AMD and Nvidia couldn’t keep up with all of the demand. To be able to make a good profit from mining Bitcoin you will need to buy more than 4 high-end graphics cards. Almost no gamer buys more than one graphics cards because it’s just a waste of money. Many games don’t even support an SLI configuration but no game supports more than one graphics cards. if you do use more then one the game will crash or perform very badly. Because of the GPU shortage, it will cost you hundreds of Dollars more than the original price of a GPU to buy the same graphics card right now. There is a chance for you to find the GPU in stock but when it comes back in stock they are all sold out in a few minutes. There is a rumor floating around about a new lineup of Nvidia GPUs launching next month code name Turing.

When the new line up of GPUs comes out Nvidia will probably have a lot in stock for all the demand from both miners and PC gamers. Even if the Turning GPUs come with a high cost the GTX 1000 series GPUs will probably come back in stock and the GPU shortage might end. If you want to build your self a gaming PC right now it wouldn’t hurt to wait a month and see if the rumors are true and Nvidia is going to release their new line up of GPUs. If you want to build a gaming PC you should use the new AMD CPUs with Vega APUs in them. The Ryzen 5 2400G with the RX Vega 11 APU performs very well for an integrated GPU. The Ryzen 5 2400G got an average of 57 FPS and a low of 41 FPS in PUBG at very low settings 720p, 1080p in Fortnite with medium graphics average of 42 FPS and a minimum of 39 FPS, and Overwatch 1080p medium settings it got an average of 59 FPS and a minimum of 54.
