Nvidai is Going to Completely Dominate All of The GPU market with the GTX 1180 (Turning) GPU

The GTX 1180 is Going to be a Big Success for Nvidia

The Nvidia GTX 11 series is one of the most hyped up Nvidia GPUs off all times. According to numerous rumors from different websites, the Nvidia GTX 1180 is going to be revelutionary for the gaming market thanks to its low price and monstrous specs. Nvidia hasn’t released anything that completely one-ups AMD, but it seems like that is going to happen this September with the GTX 1180.

GTX 1180 Specs and Price:

Although Nvidia hasn’t said much about the GTX 1180, we have a pretty good guess about what it could be thanks to numerous rumors. The Nvidia GTX 1180 is expected to feature 3584 Cuda Cores, 16-12 GB of VRAM, 1600MHz core clock, 1800MHz boost clock, 13 TFLOPS, 16 Gbps Memory Speed, and a TDP of 170 to 200 watts. For comparison one of the strongest and most expensive consumers GPUs the Titan XP has far lower specs than the GTX 1180. Around a 10 FPS boost is expected on most games when switching from the Titan XP to the GTX 1180. The GTX 1180 is expected to be priced somewhere around $700.

GTX 1180 Performance and Why it’s Going to Demolish AMD’s GPUs

Although we aren’t able to benchmark the GTX 1180, we can get a good guess on how it’s going to perform thanks to the leaked specs and the Titan XP. The Titan XP is a bit weaker then the GTX 1180 so we can estimate how it’s going to perform in video games. The Nvidia Titan XP was able to run GTA V at the highest setting and 4k with the FPS almost always staying above 60 FPS sometimes falling to 45 FPS in high demanding areas. So we can expect the Nvidia Titan XP running GTA V at ultra 4K and at least always staying above 55 FPS.

AMD has nothing that can compete with this beast, but you might be wondering how about the lower end market? How is Nvidia going to capture those parts of the markets with the release of the GTX 1180? Well, when Nvidia does release the 11 series GPUs, it is going to cause a significant price decrease on Nvidia GPUs. Something like a GTX 1080 TI will drop a hundred bucks. The GTX 1080 TI can be found for $720 on Amazon right now, and with $100 off, it will cost only $620 making it only $120 more expensive than the Vega 64 but much better performance. The GTX 1080 will drop at least a hundred Dollars so you will be able to pick one up for as low as $400 which is far less then Vega 64’s $500 MSRP. Unless AMD releases a new GPU, they will be demolished by Nvidia.

GTX 1180 Release Date:

Let’s start off with the price. The Nvidia GTx 1180 is expected to come out sometime in September. According to new rumors the Nvidia GTX 1180, 1170, and 1160 are going to be released during September. The 120W variant is coming out at the end of September, 150W variant arriving at the second week of September, and the flagship model or the 180W versions is coming out in the first week of September. AMD has a short time to release something that can compete with Nvidia’s GTX 11seriess GPUs.
