AMD Navi is Going to be Powerful

AMD Navi, AMD Radeon GPU

A few months back rumors were going around claiming that AMD Navi is going to be revolutionary for the gaming market. It wasn’t only rumored but, there were officials saying that AMD Navi and Zen 2 are going to change the PC market. Well, now we have gotten our hands on specs for AMD’s next-gen 7nm Navi series GPUs and we can see if it’s actually going to be revolutionary for the market or not.

AMD Radeon RX 5700

Let’s start off with the base RX 5700 which will cost you $379. This 7nm GPU is going to feature 36 CUs, 1725 MHz boost frequency, 8GB of VRAM with 14,000MT/s, 2,304 GPU cores, 7.95 TFLOPs of performance, and a TBP of 180W.  The GPU is going to use next-gen GDDR6 VRAM and a memory speed of 14 Gbps. This GPU is going to launch at a price point of $379 for the base model which means that it’ll be a direct competitor of the Nvidia RTX 2060. When Nvidia Super is released, it’s expected for the RTX 2070 to be pushed down to the $400 price point which means that the RX 5700 will have to compete with the RTX 2070.

AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT/RX 5700 XT Anniversary Edition

The RX 5700 XT and the 5700 XT anniversary edition are pretty similar but, the Anniversary looks really good as it features a golden shell as well as faster core clocks but, it does cost $50 more. The AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT is going to feature a boost clock of 1905 MHz, 9.75 TFLOPs, a TBP of 225W, 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, and 14 Gbps memory. The RX 5700 XT starts at $449 for the base model and it’s going to be released on July 7th as well as the other three Navi GPUs.

Now, let’s talk about the GPU for the die-hard AMD fans out there. You can pick up the RX 5700 XT anniversary edition for $499 which isn’t too bad considering that it features faster boost clocks and a golden cover. The RX 5700 XI anniversary edition features a boost clock of 1980 MHz, 10.14 TFLOPs, as well as a TBP of 235W.
