Rumor Again? Volta, Ampere, Turing, Next Gen Nvidia GPUs Coming Next Month

New Nvidia GPUs might be coming next month, reports say.

Right now Nvidia and AMD are faced by great GPU supply shortages. Both companies are working hard to get their GPU supplies back in stock. We have heard that AMD is working on a new line up CPUs called vega 2 and we also heard about Nvidia’s new line up of advanced GPUs called Nvidia Ampere. Now we are hearing about a new rumor about Nvidia’s new lineup of GPUs coming next month from a credible source named Reuters. It is not volta or ampere. It is called turing. 

According to Reuters a new lineup of Nvidia GPU codenamed “Turing” is going to be released to the public next month. This could mean that Nvidia isn’t going to call their future GPUs Nvidia Volta and changing the name or it means that Nvidia Volta will never be released for consumers. This could be bad news for people that bought a Nvidia Volta GPU becuase Nvidia might stop optimizing it. Right now Nvidia and AMD GPUs are very close to each other performance to price wise but if Nvidia releases their new line up of GPU before AMD it could be bad news for AMD’s Vega graphic cards. Right now AMD’s CPUs aren’t the best CPUs in the market but their GPUs are competing with Nvidia GPUs even in the high end market, if the new line up is released next month it could change many things. 

As you probably know right now it’s very hard to find a graphics card that doesn’t cost a few hundred Dollars more then it’s original price. Nvidia has been trying to get more supplies and selling them to gamers instead of miners. Nvidia asked retailers to set a two GPU limit to each person and they made their own GPU store with this restriction. The GPU shortage is happening because of the recent popularity of cryptocurrency mining. Miners need more than 2 graphics cards to be able to make a profit so they buy a lot of GPUs but Nvidia and AMD were not ready for all of the demand.
