Crystal Dynamics dropped a big and happy news that all the fans were waiting for it to be finally confirmed, The new Tomb raider (shadow of the tomb raider) video game after the rise of the tomb raider is finally coming in early 2018. It is going to be out in 2018 as we reported earlier and as CD says, they are going to get it out with a whole different plan. That different plan is going to have something to do wit the new tomb raider movie that is set to be out on March 2018.

But as we have mentioned beforein earlier news, the extreme trend of online multiplayer mode and co-op video games in gaming market is demanding the gaming market to bring online multiplayer features in future games. Is it going to be the same for Tomb raider next version? Games such as PUBG or Overwatch are becoming icons of such a trend in gaming market 2017 and 2016 and this trend seems to be growing to an even stronger demand in 2018. as we reported earlier in an interview on of the Crystal Dynamics Senior Community Manager that they are considering covering “A” way to respond to such a trend in the gaming community. Of course the Tomb raider has been famous for the mystery puzzles and adventurous single player story mode. But they seem to be trying to find out a way to implement online features in the future game coming in 2018.

ABOUT THE MULTIPLAYER ONLINE MODE

In an interview that Gatget360 did with Meagan Marie, Senior Community Manager at Crystal Dynamics she said “Fans are inherently integral to the success of a game” She said “Keeping fans engaged and interested in your game is only one part of the equation” and it seems that fans of gaming are externally into online multiplayer platforms with the rise of recent successful titles like Ghost recon and BF1. she mentioned that “When exploring options for fans to play Tomb Raider together, this franchise pillar needs to be taken into consideration,” she says. “That’s why we loved adding co-op to Endurance Mode in Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration. It allowed fans to raid tombs together in a context that worked well – a replayable, score-driven mode.”  While she did not exactly comment on how a multiplayer online experience could tie into the next Tomb Raider game — rumoured to be called Shadow of the Tomb Raider— she seemed to be hinting at what to expect. And she mentioned that: “[We] can confirm that as a studio we continue to look for opportunities that extend gameplay experiences beyond the main campaign, similar to our Expedition Mode in Rise of the Tomb Raider,” she says. So The next Tomb Raider game may have modes beyond its campaign, This could be in the form of multiplayer online experiences and challenges,  The next game is rumoured to be developed at Eidos Montreal.

The New Tomb Raider Video Game Is Now Revealed To Be Out In 2018

The different plan that CD is talking about for sure should have something to do with the movie release. After the leaks happened and all the NON-news era for the NEXT Tomb Raider Game Enix has recently dropped the news with a tweet, confirmed that it is coming in 2018. The Tomb raider series has been around more than 2 decades and Lara has become if not the most one of the most popular game characheters ever developed. Before now some leaked images gave us some clues of the existence of some version called “shadow of the tomb raider”, but Square Enix has been very silent about it and Tomb Raider fans have been waiting for that sweet announcement for so long. Well, the good news is that a new continuation of the Rise of the Tomb Raider is going to be revealed and it is going to be available in early 2018. 

The Announcement came from Tomb Raider’s official Twitter account that Tweeted they will tell us big news next year. They want to share it with us but they can’t right now, and they are taking a new approach this time for what ever they mean and foe what ever reason they have. Square Enix says that a new Tomb Raider game is coming! Like every other developer, they want to tease the fans and postpone the main announcement but at least now Tomb Raider game and the release date of the new Tomb Raider game are revealed. Seems like the main release news will be revealed in a sort of a big event in 2018. The first and biggest 2018 gaming event is PAX South 2018 (starts on  12th January 2018.). Another factor is the movie. The movie will be out in march 2018 so it is possible that the game announcement goes up with the movie trailers or in the time the movie is in theaters. THE NEW APPROACH may mean the release of the movie and game at the same time. we have to wait and see what it actually means.
