Sony PS 5 And Exciting Technology That Could Land in 2020 (latest leaks)

PlayStation 5, AMD And Cloud Gaming Latest Leaks and Rumors

Its 2019 and rumors have started going around the internet about Sony’s next-generation of PlayStation 5 gaming consoles. According to the latest rumors and leaks on the ps5 console, the Sony PlayStation 5 is going to feature 7nm AMD Zen 2 and AMD Navi technology, and, the latest rumors are now claiming that the Sony PlayStation 5 is going to be released sometime this year.

The PS 5 is Going to be Very Powerful According to the Latest Rumors

According to the latest rumors, the PS 5 is going to feature AMD Navi and AMD Ryzen. Thanks to a recent rumor, we know that a person at Sony is working with AMD Ryzen technology

“A principal programmer at Sony associated with the firm’s Advanced Technology Group is working with AMD’s Ryzen technology, improving the Zen core’s micro-architecture support within the LLVM compiler stack – a key component of a tool used in the PlayStation 4 development environment. Of course, there is no PS4 product using the Ryzen processor, leading to speculation that this is related to a prospective next-gen PlayStation 5 console currently in development.

The evidence – unearthed by Linux-specialist site Phoronix – shows the highly experienced Sony programmer making a number of commits to the LLVM github over the last few weeks, all of them related to the “znver1″ architecture, the codename for AMD’s first generation Ryzen processors. On top of that, information on LinkedIn confirms the staffer’s involvement in compiler development for PlayStation hardware. Game credits in Media Molecule’s Tearaway and Evolution Studios’ DriveClub confirm that the developer is also a part of Sony’s Advanced Technology Group, which serves a number of roles in the Sony organisation.”

PS 5 to Feature AMD Zen 2 and Navi

Thanks to the latest rumors, we know that the Sony PlayStation 5 is going to feature 7nm next-gen AMD IGPU and CPU. We have already gotten two different rumors claiming that the PS 5 is going to feature AMD Ryzen technology. The first rumor came from Eurogamer and the second rumor came from a credible developer’s Tweet. Eurogamer claims that a principal programmer at PlayStation has been making contributions to LLVM GitHub which are all related to the znver1 architecture. Znver1 is the codename for AMD’s first-gen Ryzen CPUs. Although the developer was working with first-gen Ryzen technology, there is a high chance for the PS 5 to feature Zen 2. The next-gen Xbox console is going to feature 7nm Zen 2 processor so, it is very likely for Sony to go with Zen 2 as well so that they can compete with Xbox.

Sony PS 5 Rumored to Come Out in 2019

Many credible analysts around the internet have been claiming that the PS 5 is going to be released in 2019. Michael Pachter a Wedbush Securities analyst, said in an interview that he believes that the Sony PlayStation 5 is either going to be released in 2019 or 2020. He says that the PS 5 is probably going to be released in 2019, not 2020. But another point many may make is that “could there ever be a PlayStation 5″ or could there be a PlayStation 6”  and it is a good point actually. Everything is becoming cloud based. Microsoft is already working on a cloud based console that is based on streaming and internet and not high graphic hardware from AMD or NVIDIA or Intel and everything is about subscription not buying or downloading games.

Xbox Two VS PS 5 | Rumored Specs

According to the latest rumors, the next-gen Xbox console is going to be very powerful. The PS 5 is going to feature an 8 core/16 threads 7nm Zen 2 processor and a 7nm AMD Navi GPU which is going to feature 12 TFLOPs of performance. The Xbox Two is rumored to feature 16GB of RAM which is going to be shared between the system and GPU. The next-gen Xbox is supposedly going to feature 1TB of M.2 NVME storage! This means that the Xbox Two is going to load games at least 10x faster than current-gen consoles as the Xbox One and PS 4 feature HDDs. The most surprising part is the fact that the Xbox Two is going to feature Ray Tracing and DirectX. Of course, the Ray Tracing is going to be toned down but, that is still impressive considering that you need to spend at least $700 on a PC for Ray Tracing. The Xbox Two is going to be priced at $500.

Right now, we don’t have a lot of specific info about the PS 4. All we know is that it is going to feature AMD Navi and AMD Ryzen. The PS 4 and PS 3 both featured superior specs to their Xbox competitors but, the Xbox Two is probably going to be more powerful than the PS 5 as it is going to cost you $500 while the PS 5 will most likely cost you $400.
