Splatoon 2’s December update will be big

When Nintendo launched Splatoon 2 it was surrounded with a lot of hype but when Super Mario Odyssey was released it decreased Splatoon 2’s player count, and since the launch of Splatoon 2 we didn’t get that many huge updates. Most of the updates added a few weapons, but some did bring maps and more. Nintendo announced a new update for Splatoon 2; the new update will be released in 2 different parts. The first part has already been released and the second part will be released in December. The December update will bring a never seen before game mode to Splatoon 2.

The new game mode will be called Clam Blitz. In Clam Blitz players are supposed to pick up Clams that they find around the map. After the player picks up a Clam it follows them, and they are supposed to throw the clam in the basket close to the other teams base. Gamers will need to score 100 points to win the match. It might sound easy, but it’s not because the baskets are guarded with a barrier. Players will need to destroy the barrier to be able to throw clams into the hoop. You can’t shoot at it and destroy it you will need to pick up ten clams. After you pick up ten clams you will get a “Power Clam.” power Clams can be used to destroy the barrier. Right now We don’t know exactly how you can destroy the barrier with the power clam. After the barrier is destroyed players can throw Clams into the hoop and win. Remember if someone kills you they will get your Clams. We don’t know what stages are playable in this mode. Nintendo did say that three new maps will be coming in the future so the new maps might be released with the December update. The 1st part of this update added two new maps, new gear, new hairstyles, and much more. One of the maps is for the normal rotation and the other map is for Salmon run. The update also changed the maximum level to 99 and after you reach it there will be an option to reset the level to ★1.
