PUBG Mobile Might not Let Fortnite Battle Royal Get Very Popular on Android

PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds was the game that made the battle royal genre the most popular gaming genre of 2017 and 2018. When PUBG got popular on PC it was topping Steam every month and getting millions and millions of players each month. When Fortnite Battle Royal came out PUBG lost the console market first since they didn’t have any games on consoles and then they started losing the PC market as well. One market that PUBG has had a firm grip on is the Android market. PUBG is the only popular battle royal on android so everyone is playing it but Fortnite is going to come to Android sometime during this season according to data found in the game files. When Fortnite Battle Royal is released on Android the question is if it can capture the market from PUBG or will it lose and fade away in Android.

Fortnite kind of made PUBG loses the console market because of the fact that they got popular months before PUBG came to the consoles. When PUBG did come out for the Xbox One it was a glitchy mess while Fortnite was running very smoothly when compared to PUBG. When Epic Games releases Fortnite Battle Royal for Android it might not be able to get as popular as it did on IOS because of PUBG. PUBG already has the lead so all Bluehole has to do is to make sure they don’t blow it and optimize the game so it doesn’t become a glitchy mess.

In a recent video by YouTuber Tracker Network, it was revealed that Epic Games had placed a few files in Fortnite that indicate an android version of the game. The three files found are red Android_Engine.ini, Android_Game.ini, and AndroidRuntimeOptions.ini and according to the YouTuber there are things that indicate that Fortnite is going to be released on Android before Season 5 ends.
