According to Qualcomm, Devices with Windows 10 on ARM devices using the Snapdragon 845 is not going to be shipped until the second half of 2018. same chipset being ready to be out for high-end smartphones early in 2018. Qualcomm’s EVP Cristiano Amons has mentioned that Devices running on the announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 will not be shipping until the second half of 2018. All the smartphones that are going to be powered by the Snapdragon 845 will be shipping in early January 2018. All the testing and dev for Windows 10 version on ARM PCs has been done on the Snapdragon 835. Qualcomm needs to get ready the equivalent for 845-based component for Windows 10 devices so they would be ready to be out. The fact that Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SKU not yet ready for testing by PC makers you should add several months of development to the timeline.

The main advantage of running Windows based devices on ARM is extended long battery life, according to early reports the early devices delivering excellent battery life so far. Of course as Windows 10 on ARM runs in a virtual x86 environment, its performance may be a little disappointing comparing the the regular windows based systems that are generally x64.
