Nintendo Might have the Best and Cheapest VR Solution for Console Gamers Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch Might Become the Cheapest and Best VR Headset

VR gaming has been getting insanely popular with the release of Sony’s PS VR. At first, VR was just a PC gimmick but then it even spread to consoles with the PS VR, and it is slowly changing to become something that is actually enjoyable. Rumors have popped up before suggesting that Nintendo is working on VR for the Nintendo Switch, but none have been as reliable as the latest rumor. It seems like Nintendo has at least tried Nintendo Switch VR.

According to Twiter User random666_kys, there is a test VR mode hidden deep inside the Nintendo Switch. In the video, we see a hidden menu inside the Nintendo Switch that says Test VR Mode on a Nintendo Switch running firmware version 4.1.0 After the user opens the file, a screen pops up and we see two texts reading, “Please move the console away from your face and click the close button” Just like a VR headset. Nintendo might do something like the Google Cardboard.

This shows that Nintendo has definitely experimented with VR for the Nintendo Switch. If Nintendo does roll out VR for the Nintendo Switch, it will be the cheapest and the best (relative to the price) VR headset. Of course, the Switch doesn’t have the power to play VR games such as Skyrim VR. It will be tough for Nintendo to release a fun and good looking VR game for the Nintendo Switch. If Nintendo does roll out something like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe VR, the Nintendo Switch might become the most popular console and VR headset off all time.

Nintendo might release a VR headset similair to the Google Cardboard but made out of plastic. You might be wondering, how is the headset going to be able to track your head movement? Well, Nintendo will probably put ports for gamers to insert the two joy cons on the left and right side of the headset similair to Labo.
