$99 AMD Ryzen 2 Next-Gen 7nm CPU Outperforms $200 Intel CPU

AMD Zen 2 Leaked Specs List

AMD Zen 2

Unfortunatly, CES has come and past but the thing is the fact that AMD hasn’t given a lot of info about their next-gen 7nm AMD CPUs. Unfortunatly, AMD Radeon VII, the world’s first 7nm GPU is a little disappointing but, the latest rumors claim that AMD Zen 2 is going to be able to blow away the competition. According to a specs list, AMD is going to blow away Intel in both the high-end and mid-end market

AMD Zen 2 Specs and Official Benchmarks

Thanks to a credible source, we have gotten our hands on a credible looking specs list for AMD’s next-gen 7nm Zen 2 CPU and it seems like Intel doesn’t stand much of a chance

Fotunatly, we have also gotten our hands on official benchmarks for an 8 core, 16 threads variant of Zen 2 which scored 2,057 on Cinebench R15 while the Intel Core I9-9900k scored 2,040. According to AMD, the Zen 2 CPU does way better than Intel in terms of power consumption. The AMD Zen 2 system only used 130w-132w of power while the Intel Core I9-9900k system used 180w of power. This means that the AMD Zen 2 CPU is going to be really good for overclocking as it doesn’t use a lot of power hence it produces less heat.

$99 AMD Zen 2 CPU to Outperform $200 Intel CPU

According to the specs list above, the AMD Ryzen 3 3300 is only going to cost you $99 and it will feature 6 cores, 12 threads, aa 4GHz boost clock, and it’ll use 50W of power. This means that the Ryzen 3 3300 is going to feature better specs than the $200 Intel Core i5-8400 which features 6 cores but only 6 threads and a 4GHz boost clock. Of course, specs don’t tell the whole story but, it seems like Zen 2 is going to have an advantage.
