AMD Confirms 7nm Ryzen 3000 (Zen 2) Coming Out in 2019 (Release Date, Specs, Price) Rumors

AMD Zen 2 Definitely Coming 2019

Zen 2, Ryzen 3000

Right now, Intel controls most of the gaming market due to their latest Coffe Lake CPU series but, a while back AMD was doing really well thanks to Ryzen. According to the latest rumors, AMD’s next-gen Zen 2 CPUs are going to blow away the competition in both the low-end and high-end market just like Ryzen did a few years ago. The best part is that AMD has officially confirmed that Zen 2 is going to be released in 2019 and, thanks to numerous sources we know that Zen 2 might be released in July.

AMD Confirms Zen 2 Coming in 2019

In a recent investor meeting, AMD has confirmed that their next-gen 7nm Zen 2 CPUs are going to be released sometime in 2019. The Zen 2 CPU series is going to feature the mainstream AM4 platform while the Ryzen Threadripper CPU series is going to use the TR4 platform. Next-gen Ryzen Threadripper is supposedly going to be released a while after AMD Zen 2. We might see Threadripper at least a month or two after Zen 2 is released.

Zen 2 Rumored Release Date

According to numerous reports, AMD’s next-gen Zen 2 CPUs are going to be released on July 7th, 2019 or 7/7/19. The reports claim that AMD chose the 7/7 release date because they are going to release both AMD Navi and Zen 2 on that day. The 7/7 release date makes a lot of sense as AMD can seriously capitalize on Zen 2’s 7nm architecture. AMD has already done this with the Radeon VII as it is the worlds first 7nm GPU and it came out on February 7th.

Zen 2 Rumored Specs

The specs list above was released a while ago by a somewhat credible source. We also got official benchmark scores for an 8 core, 16 threads variant of Zen 2 which was able to perform a little better than Intel’s next-gen Core I9-9900k. If the specs list above is real, a $229 Zen 2 CPU is going to be able to outperform a $499 Intel Core I9-9900k CPU. If AMD is actually able to deliver this kind of performance for only $229, Intel wouldn’t stand much of a chance.
