How Powerful Will the PS5 be? 4K Gaming 60 FPS Ultra Possible? (PS 5 Specs AMD Ryzen, Navi & release date possible 2020)

How Powerful is the PS 5 Going to be?

Gamers have been excited to see the next generation of consoles, but Sony and Microsoft haven’t said much about it. Although we don’t have anything official, there are many rumors from credible sources in the internet about the PS 5’s specs and release date. The Sony PlayStation 5 is obviously going to be more powerful then the Xbox One X and PS 4 Pro but gamers have been wondering if it is going to be able to make 4K gaming mainstream

PS 5 Specs GPU/CPU:

According to the latest rumors on the internet, the Sony PlayStation 5 is going to feature a 7nm GPU. The Navi architecture is expected to make the PS 5 very powerful for a gaming console. Right now we don’t know a lot about the AMD Navi architectures. The only thing we know is that it is going to feature the 7nm process. Thanks to this architecture the Sony PlayStation 5 is going to feature a powerful GPU for a console. According to the latest rumors, the CPU is going to be an AMD Ryzen CPU

A principal programmer at Sony associated with the firm’s Advanced Technology Group is working with AMD’s Ryzen technology, improving the Zen core’s micro-architecture support within the LLVM compiler stack – a key component of a tool used in the PlayStation 4 development environment. Of course, there is no PS4 product using the Ryzen processor, leading to speculation that this is related to a prospective next-gen PlayStation 5 console currently in development.

This is exciting news to console fans as this means the Sony PlayStation 5 isn’t going to be held back by its CPU. The PS 4 Pro is held back by its CPU causing it not to be able to play games at its true potential.

Will 4K Gaming be Possible

Although the PS 5 is going to be powerful, 4K 60 FPS Ultra is probably not going to be possible. Technology has to advance really fast for a $400 console to be able to run games at 4k 60 FPS Ultra when it comes out. So no, 4K ultra 60 FPS is not happening, but 4K is going to be supported by more games then the 4K games available on the PS 4 Pro. Also, the base model is going to do 4K, not the high-end version.
