Lara Croft New Path In Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Shadow of the Tomb Raider releases on September 14 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Various editions of the game are available for pre-order, and offer 48 hours early access play. The game will also feature a Season Pass.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider happens in the Mayan apocalypse, Square Enix unveiled what’ll be included in Lara’s latest season pass. Rather than calling them expansions this time it is called “Paths,” and there are seven total as spotted. Each will have its own challenge tomb, story, skill, outfit and weapons. They’ll be out on a monthly basis and the first will add co-op play of some sort.

The official site for the new Tomb Raider game where buyers can pre-order it only has the standard edition listed, but retailers such as Amazon have each version listed save for the Ultimate Edition.

After Crystal Dynamics dropped the big news and confirmed all the rumors about the new Shadow of the tomb rider coming in 2018, The new shadow of the tomb raider video game will come after the successful rise of the tomb raider in early 2018. That “different plan” is going to have something to do wit the new tomb raider movie that is set to be out on March 2018. But what do we know about the features in the new game?  

 

A NEW MULTIPLAYER ONLINE MODE

Although Tomb raider is known for its amazing single player campaign stories, we reported earlier that in an interview that Gatget360 did with Meagan Marie, the Senior Community Manager at Crystal Dynamics earlier, she said “Fans are inherently integral to the success of a game” She said “Keeping fans engaged and interested in your game is only one part of the equation” and it seems that fans of gaming are externally into online multiplayer platforms with the rise of recent successful titles like Ghost recon and BF1. she also mentioned that “When exploring options for fans to play Tomb Raider together, this franchise pillar needs to be taken into consideration,” she says. “That’s why we loved adding co-op to Endurance Mode in Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration. It allowed fans to raid tombs together in a context that worked well – a repayable, score-driven mode.”  While she did not exactly comment on how a multiplayer online experience could tie into the next Tomb Raider game, the Shadow of the Tomb Raider, she seemed to be hinting at what to expect.

Now we know there is an online coop mode in the new tomb raider as she mentioned that: “[We] can confirm that as a studio we continue to look for opportunities that extend gameplay experiences beyond the main campaign, similar to our Expedition Mode in Rise of the Tomb Raider,” she says. So The next Tomb Raider game may have modes beyond its campaign in the new version, This could be in the form of multiplayer online experiences and challenges,  The next game is rumored to be developed at Eidos Montreal.
