The AMD Ryzen Threadripper Second Gen is Right around the Corner as Indicated by Rumors

AMD is dominating most of the CPU market right now with their Ryzen CPUs. AMD blew Intel out of the water when they released their Ryzen CPUs and Intel hasn’t been able to take back control from AMD. Right now AMD is dominating the budget CPU scene right now, with the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X at that price point there is no competition especially since you can pick one up for only $239.99. The AMD Threadripper CPUs are very well priced and if you are thinking of picking up one, you should wait a little as AMD’s next-gen Threadripper CPUs are going to come out this August as indicated by rumors.

Right now, if you are looking for a $500 CPU you can pick up the Threadripper 1900X which features 8 cores and 16 threads or for heavier loads you can pick up the $1000 Threadripper 1950X which features 16 cores and 32 threads. This absolute beast of a CPU is nothing compared to the rumored specs of Threadripper 2’s flagship CPU the 2990X an $1835 CPU that is going to feature 32 cores and 16 threads as well as 80 MB of total cache. 

Although the Threadripper 2990X might be out of your price range, you should still wait as you will likely be able to pick up something like the Threadripper 1900X for a much lower price thanks to price drops.
