AMD Share Holder Mettings+Rumors Show Zen 2 Blows Away Intel’s Competing CPUs

AMD Zen 2 vs Intel CPUs

If you follow the tech news you probably know that Intel controls most of the gaming and productivity market as AMD’s Ryzen CPUs feature lower clock counts which means that they have really low single-core performance when compared to Intel Coffe Lake. Although Intel’s doing really well, it seems like their success is going to end when 7nm Zen 2 comes out.

AMD Zen 2 Official Info

Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of official information about AMD Zen 2 but, we do know that Zen 2 is coming out in the summertime and, it is said to be very powerful. In a recent shareholder meeting, AMD claimed that their 7nm hardware is the “Strongest Product Portfolio in AMD History”. That’s not all, AMD also claims that Zen 2 is going to deliver a 30% increase in Ryzen systems and 50% more Ryzen notebooks are expected in 2019. This means that when you go to a retailer, you’ll be able to find some AMD systems.

We also have official benchmark scores for an 8 core/16 threads variant of Zen 2 in which the Zen 2 CPU was able to outperform the Core I9-9900k on Cinebench R15. The Intel Core I9-9900k scored 17 fewer points than the Zen 2 CPU in Cinebench R15 and, the Zen 2 system used way less power.

AMD Zen 2 Leaked Benchmarks

Thanks to the latest rumors, we have gotten our hands on a specs list for AMD’s next-gen 7nm CPUs. As you can see in the specs list below, a $229 Ryzen 5 3600x was able to outperform the $500 Core I9-9900k. You also have to remember that the CPU will deliver better performance then it did in the benchmark as AMD is going to increase the boost clock. Intel’s problem is that they haven’t been able to decrease their die sizes. Intel is having a lot of issues with their 10nm CPUs and, right now we don’t even know if it’s still happening while AMD’s next-gen 7nm Zen 2 CPUs are coming out this summer.
