The RX 590 Rivals Nvidia’s GTX 1060 6GB

Nvidia and AMD have been rivals for a long time. Nvidia and AMD have been having a lot of competition in the mid-end and low-end GPU market. The AMD RX 580 pulls ahead of the GTX 1060 in benchmarks and right now you can find one for as low as $250. The RX 590 is rumored to be released really soon and according to leaked benchmarks, it will be a close rival to the GTX 1060.

RX 590 Leaked Benchmarks

AMD RX 590 benchmarks have been found on Final Fantasy XV’s benchmark page found by Videocardz. In the benchmarks, we can see that the RX 590 performs a bit better than the GTX 1060 6GB. In the benchmarks, we see that the GTX 980 scores a bit better than the RX 590. Most benchmarks on Final Fantasy XV’s benchmark page are real but, this could also be someone just trolling but most likely not. 

RX 590 Rumored Specs

The RX 590 is rumored to feature 2304 Cores, 144 TMUS, 8GB of VRAM, and 32 ROPs. According to Chinese tech news site mydriver, the RX 590 is going to feature a 1,545 MHz Core Clock. The RX 590 is going to be more powerful than the RX 580 as the RX 580 features a base clock of 1256 MHz. The RX 590 is a bit more powerful then the GTX 1060 as the 1060 features a base clock of 1506 MHz and 6GB of VRAM. 

RX 590 Rumored Price and Release Date

The AMD RX 590 is going to be priced at 2099 yuan or around $300. Expect the RX 590 to be priced around $300, perhaps $250. The RX 590 is rumored to be released on November 15th so this means we are going to get our hands on it in a few days. This makes it a direct competitor to the GTX 1060 6GB and the RX 580 which is bad news for AMD. At a $300 price point, AMD might have some trouble competing with the GTX 1060 6GB.
